School of Journalism, Fudan University

The Journalism department at Fudan University, founded in 1929, is the oldest journalism educational establishment in China. The department became China’s first School of Journalism in 1988. Following the motto of, “Good learners and keen practitioners,” the School is regarded as the birth place of modern Chinese journalism.

The School has now established four departments: Journalism, Broadcasting and Television, Communication, and Advertising. It offers a variety of academic programs, including six master’s degrees in journalism, communications, broadcasting arts, advertising, public relations, editing and publishing and three doctoral degrees in journalism, communications and broadcasting and television.
