SD-FUDAN FELLOWSHIP


Jointly launched by the Serge Dumont Fund and the School of Journalism of Fudan University, the program provides research funds to outstanding undergraduates and graduate students. The Fellowship aims to help young students committed to a career in strategic communications gain a deeper understanding of the field through practical experience. Through this hands-on approach, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in research work and in process gain deeper insight of strategic communications. The experience provides students with a better understanding of society in China and the rest of the world, giving them skills they can apply both in theory and practice. This <- NB. Funded Students: Undergraduate and Graduate students from School of Journalism, Fudan University
Execution Summary:

  1. Serge Dumont Fund and J-School to set up program management team for daily execution and coordination.
  2. J-School and Mr. Dumont to decide annual research topic and raise several recommended direction for further research.
  3. Research topic and directions announced, students form research groups (RG) of 2-3 people based on common interests.
  4. RGs to submit research proposal (including detailed research topic, framework, methodology, budget, etc)
  5. J-School to form experts panel to select several RGs to fund according to proposals.
  6. RGs to start to interview, investigate, research, writing and submit research reports in spare time.
  7. RGs to deliver presentation to experts panel and Mr. Serge Dumont, 1st/2nd/3rd prizes to be awarded with certificate.
  8. RGs winning 1st prize to be interviewed separately for internship opportunities.
